Defend Systems' founder and owner reached out to me to capture portraits of their team, ensuring a consistent and polished appearance across all social platforms. The goal was to present a cohesive, branded look that enhances their online presence and reflects their professional identity.

Over the past three years, Defend Systems has experienced remarkable growth, and I’ve had the privilege of photographing their expanding team on three separate occasions. Each session was carefully crafted to ensure new team portraits seamlessly matched the original style, creating a cohesive and professional visual identity for their brand.

Defend Systems is a life safety and security consulting firm based in Middle Tennessee. Their expertise lies in their experience.  As active and retired law enforcement experts, they have planned and conducted thousands of high-risk tactical and surreptitious operations and have defeated hundreds of security measures. This unique experience gives them amazing insight into what real physical security looks like and, more importantly, how to achieve it.  

They assist in developing site security plans and procedures and emergency and intruder action plans, designed for specific locations. They conduct thorough threat assessments and assist in designing and implementing security protocols.

The director of the preschool contacted me to provide them with staff headshots for their entire preschool team. The team had in-service training and an Open House the afternoon that we scheduled portraits. We packed in, set up, photographed 24 team members, selected their favorites, and packed out in less than two hours.

GrowU is a preschool program in Hermitage, Tennessee. GrowU loves intentionally and ministers boldly to preschoolers and their families. They partner with families to encourage a child’s strengths and support his/her development through a curriculum that is developmentally appropriate and consistent with the testimony of Jesus Christ. They provide a safe environment that equips the child spiritually, intellectually, emotionally, socially, and physically. They equip families through LIFEgroups that teach the importance of a relationship with Jesus Christ and workshops that educate families on issues affecting children today. Lastly, they connect with their families and community by providing opportunities for families to play and serve together!

Christie was in Nashville for a week with her high-level mastermind and reached out with a vision for doing a branding session while she was in town. Christie and I made plans to meet at her hotel, The Graduate, in the heart of downtown Nashville. We planned outfits and locations based on different looks that Christie wanted to capture throughout our session and got to work! We spent just a few hours bebopping around the hotel and Christie walked away with a wonderful library of images to use when she wants, how she wants!

Candace was in Nashville for a week with her high-level mastermind and reached out with a vision for doing a branding session while she was in town. Candace is a party and a real genius about all things pet business!

One of Candace’s clients is a boutique natural pet market owner at Mutts & Meows in Mt. Juliet, Tennessee. We met at the store and spent the morning photographing Candace’s session in the cutest, coolest pet store that I have ever seen. The colors of the store were perfect accents to Candace’s brand aesthetics. After the pet store, we wrapped up the afternoon at Candace’s hotel, The Graduate, in the heart of Nashville. The Graduate was welcoming and perfect for this branding session.

Candace will use her branding photography library images to promote upcoming courses, across her social media platforms, throughout email marketing campaigns, and on her websites. She’s excited to have consistently branded images to pull from to use as she wishes!

Dr. Sjursen commissioned me to photograph his team because he needed updated, consistent headshots of his team for a website refresh. I met with Dr. Sjursen and his team for an extended lunch hour and was able to photograph the entire team before joining them for lunch. It was an absolute pleasure to work with his team. They’re kind, professional people.

Doug Adair and the wonderful team at Nashville Diaper Connection run a diaper bank in Nashville, Tennessee that serves thousands of families each year. Nashville Diaper strives to ensure that every baby in Davidson County has enough diapers to stay clean, dry, and healthy.

I was commissioned by a non-profit to provide branding images for the launch of their organization. Back the Blue was created as a way to provide a place for the community to offer financial support for their local law enforcement agencies for training, equipment, gear, and safety equipment. Most departments are underfunded and often officers are expected to pay out of pocket for needed equipment and training. Back the Blue allows for the community to rally in support and crowd-fund its departments, supplementing deficits in equipment and training. The first BTB chapter is in Nashville, but keep watch for a BTB opportunity in your community too.

Jeff, the founder of 31 DIGITAL, commissioned me to refresh his team’s client-facing appearance. He had a rough vision of what he was looking for and we worked together to produce images that relay his company’s ethos: Approachable, friendly, steady. My church commissioned me to take the staff headshots for their rebranding project. They wanted consistent, clean, and approachable to match the culture of the church.

We photographed all but one of the headshots on the same day in a brief block of time. Everyone registered for their preferred time slot in this one block of time and it was a wonderful, organized process.
